Shafer Design’s handcrafted furniture is designed and built in southwestern Ohio.  Our design philosophy.  The design philosophy of the furniture is to utilize local and salvaged materials whenever possible to create modern, exceptionally crafted furniture.

Not only is Shafer Design interested in creating heirloom furniture, but we are also dedicated to the entire process of furniture construction.  In many of our designs, we use wood that we have harvested from our property and milled and dried ourselves.  This process allows us to have comprehensive knowledge of the wood quality to ensure a well-crafted product.
